Continued Success for Minor Atoms
The past month has proven to be a continuation of success for the Minor Atom AAA North Central Predators. As their momentum as a team grows, they demonstrate that the newest kids on the block are just getting started.

The Thanksgiving weekend was most successful for the team with two consecutive 2-0 wins. On Saturday, they won 2-0 over the Oshawa Generals, followed by another 2-0 win over The OMHA Champs, The Clarington Toros on the Sunday!
The remainder of October had the team primarily on the road for a series of great games.

This past weekend, the team had a most impressive show at The Remembrance Day Barrie Colts Tournament.  The team came together and played like a seasoned team; both offensively and defensively. Winning their first two games on Friday, they were faced with their 3rd game against the renowned Kanata Blazers, whom currently sit at a 9th place position in Ontario. That wasn’t going to put the young Preds off their game!  They fought hard showing the Blazers their toughest match of the series, with Kanata coming on top only by 3-1. Ironically, the Preds found themselves facing Kanata yet again in their 4th game, at the semis on Saturday afternoon. In a game that resembled the excitement of a Game 7 final, the teams ended regulation play in a 1-1 tie. In OT, the Predators succumbed to a sudden death, ending the game with a 2-1 loss. Despite their 3rd place finish in The Barrie Remembrance Day tournament, The Minor Atom Predators felt on top of their game following their fierce display of competition. They continue to demonstrate that with each game, comes continued growth and development; both in their hockey skills and their team friendships.

Their next home game is Saturday Nov 26 at 3:45pm in Rama vs. York Simcoe Express. See you at the rink!
