Happy New Year
The 2002 Preds finish 2013 with another good tournament weekend by advancing to the quarter finals of the Richard Bell Memorial Tournament in Oakville.
We started off a little slow with 2 wins, a tie and a loss in the round robin but ended up advancing to the quarter finals by the narrowest of margins.
The team then faced the Marlies in the quarter final for a rematch of the Shanahan final.
The Preds played a very strong game holding the high scoring Marlies to 2-0 after 2 periods.
Unfortunately the team could not recover from that deficit and ended up with a 7-0 loss.
But this team can be very proud of their impressive tournament record this year (14 wins - 2 ties - 5 losses)
It was nice going into each tournament knowing that the team had a real chance.
