Things Are Looking Up
After the first 4 regular season games saw the team with only 3 points this past weeks 4 games has hopefully given the guys a bit of confidence.  They notched 3 wins and a tie moving the team into a tie with Barrie for 2nd place after 8 games.

Game 5 had the Preds facing the undefeated Quinte Red Devils so they knew they had their work cut out for them.  They started out a bit shaky getting behind on the scoreboard and could only manage one goal after 2 periods where Watty tapped the puck from midair to net the first of the game for the Preds but that still left them down 3-1 after 2.  After the flood the boys came back with a strong effort where Ty Collins got a quick one to make it a little closer.  Quinte then scored again but the guys fought back with another goal each by both Kylar and Ty to leave the final score at 4 to 4.

Game 6 brought the team into Barrie on a Wed night with hopes of disappointing the hometown favorites.  The Preds hit the scoreboard first with Collins sneaking out from behind the net and burying the puck 5 hole.  Barrie tied it up on a power play then with a beautiful breakout play and the puck on Noah Mountain's stick he sniped one, top corner leaving the Preds 2 to 1 after 1.  In the 2nd period Preds scored first again after the Colts got into a little penalty trouble, Collins was able to score on the power play, the Colts fought back with one more before the buzzer.  Next period the Colts came out strong but again the Preds were first to score with Max Davis scoring from a nice pass by Ryan Smith.  Barrie popped one more late in the 3rd after pulling their goalie but that was all they could do and the Preds won with a final score of 4-3.

Game 7 and 8 this past weekend the boys notched 2 more wins.
First against Markham with a score of 2-0.  Jayden Steele made a nifty pass behind his back to Nate Robertson waiting in front of the net for the first goal of the game.  The 2nd goal was off the face-off back to the point from Campbell to Rehling on net where Collins got the rebound.  Jake Scott got the shut-out.
Against Central Ontario the team came out strong scoring 2 quick goals in almost identical fashion, the first from Mountain to Watson from behind the net and the 2nd from Smith to Davis.  COW scored one in the 2nd but were unable to tie it as Jacob Augimeri turned away all shots in the 3rd. Preds win 2-1.

Thats leaves the team undefeated in their last 6 regular season games.
