November Update
The team was in the Shanahan Tourney on Nov 7-9th and to repeat last years performance would be a challenge.

Game #1 had us facing Markham and although we had a lead into the 3rd period the team let their foot off the gas and Markham capitalized with 2 late goals to leave the game at a 3-3 tie.

Game #2 was a against the very aggressive London Jr Knights and the guys just couldn't seem to get anything going.  This was ended as a 6-1 loss for the Preds.  The team was now looking to redeem themselves with a couple good games on Saturday.

Game #3 was a rematch with the Reps from last year.  Although we made it a great game with the end result was a loss for the Preds 3-1

Game #4 was against a much weaker Wheatfield Blades and the guys finally found their scoring touch taking this one easily 12-0.

The next few games had the Peewees on a bit of a roller coaster.

In Kingston for the weekend the Preds had a strong game against the Frontenacs with a 3-0 win but followed that with a bit of a letdown next afternoon in Quinte with a 3-0 loss. This Quinte team is proving to be the team to beat in the East.

The next weekend the Coyotes were in town for the first match-up of the season, and the Preds came to play with a decisive win (5-1) with a hat trick for Ryan Smith and singles by Nate Robertson and Ethan Graham.
The guys were on the road the next day in Markham and this was a game where the team could not capitalize on many chances losing this one 2-1.

This past weekend would be a tough test for the Preds in facing 2 solid teams.
Saturday was against the Whitby Wildcats and the team had a great game all around with good defensive play and plenty of goals.  Another 2 by Smitty and Ty Collins with a single from Robertson.  Jake Augimeri had a solid game in net for the win.
Sunday the team was against the #1 team in the West, the York Simcoe Express, a team which they had yet to beat.  The Preds came out strong again and notched 2 quick goals leading 2-0 early catching the Express on their heals and having to dig deep, which they did capitalizing 3 times in the 2nd to take the lead heading into the 3rd.
The Preds answered those 3 goals in the 2nd from the Express with 3 of their own in the 3rd.  Winning this great game 6-3 in commanding fashion.  Collins and Robertson each notched a goal with Smitty getting 4 more this game.  Jake Scott was stong in net for the win.

This leaves the Preds in 2nd place in the West at the halfway point in the season.
Keep it up team!
