ETA Playoffs (Semi-Final) Game#1 vs. Kingston Jr. Frontenacs
After disposing of favored Richmond Hill and Markham in the first two rounds, the Preds got set to face an even tougher task against the highly ranked Kingston Jr. Frontenacs at home on March 14th.

The first period once again started with both teams looking a little tentative.  The period was played very tightly with few chances at each end but a goal by Kobe Roe late in the first seemed to liven the game up.  After that icebreaker, play opened up and there were several great chances at each end.  Brandon Small looked unbeatable in the Preds goal and the Frontenac's goalie was equal to the task at the other end.

Ten seconds into the second, Kingston was able to tie things up on a nice two on one passing play.  Showing their resiliance once again, the Preds came right back to take the lead when Kobe scored his second with a nice backhander under the bar from in close.  The score remained unchanged for the rest of the period and the Preds took their slim one goal lead into the intermission.

The third period was once again wide open exciting hockey from the onset.  Brandon stood tall in the Preds goal and the entire team put in a great defensive effort to keep Kingston at bay.  Midway throught the frame. the Preds took a penalty giving the Frontenacs a chance tie things up.  With the Preds a man short and back on their heels a bit, Jacob Partridge was able to block a shot from the point, giving him a clear cut breakway.  He made no mistake and scored a huge shorthanded marker to give the Preds a 3-1 lead.  Ben Schreyer continued his hot streak and banged in another to give the Preds a commanding 4-1 lead late in the period.  Kingston was able to pull back a late one but the Preds skated off the ice with a very convincing 4-2 victory.  Picking up assists for the Preds in the win were Jake Partridge with two and Eric Moreau. Game two of the best of three series is slated for March 15th in Kingston.
