We headed to our Nation's Capital this past weekend to participate in the Sens AAA Shoot Out. We didn't expect "wins" in the raw form of the definition. We expected to do our best against experienced teams. What we didn't expect is how these sixteen, ten year old boys would conduct themselves when the odds were stacked against them in each and every game.

Hats off to our boys.
We may have not won in points, however- I saw the utmost in professionalism in our boys, they continued to work and try hard even when the points on the board were not in our favor.
Our team has class - I didn't see anyone getting copious minutes of penalties due to slashing, roughing or anything of the like. I didn't see banging of sticks on the ice, unnecessary pushing and shoving.
What I saw - were a group of young boys who faced a challenge - continued to have the tenacity to venture on and see out each game to the end with class.
A group of true Canadian boys, playing a true Canadian sport in our nations capital.
