Preds Hit the Road
The MD Marine Insurance Minor Bantams hit the road Oct 3rd and traveled to Peterborough to play the Petes.
The Preds came out slow and tired in Peterborough and the Petes took advantage putting two goals in the net early in the first.
Mountain scored the first to get the Preds on the scoreboard with assists from Davis and Quarrington. Collins tied it up at 2-2 with helpers from Smith and Rehling. Unfortunately, that was all the Preds had and the final score of 5-2 was a hard loss for the Preds.
Sunday Oct 4th the MD Marine Minor Bantams were back at Home to play the Quinte Red Devils. Already taking a loss from the Red Devils in the Red Wings Tourny the boys knew they would have to come out strong. Mountain put one in the net from a nice pass from Quarrington seconds into the game to give the Preds an early lead. Quinte came back fast with one of their own. Collins broke the tie with a pass from Smith and gave the Preds the lead. Not long after the Red Devils tied it again. Making it a great game for all to watch. Markle broke the tie again for the Preds with assists from Collins and Smith giving the Preds the 3-2 lead to go into the third. Quinte was not giving up and came out in the third hard and tied it up again. Neely put one in with an assist from Campbell to make it 4-3 for much of the third. With minutes left Quinte tied it up at 4-4 making that the final.
