MD Marine Insurance Minor Bantams finish up Oct with 5 more games!
After a short break for Thanksgiving, the MD Marine Insurance Minor Bantams came out strong vs the Barrie Colts.
The Preds hit the Colts home ice early in the week on Oct 13th for the teams first match of the season.
The Preds took the lead early in the first when Collins found the back of the net from a nice pass from Lemieux.
The game was faced paced and the Colts managed to tie it up late in the second. The Preds came out with the win when Markle broke the tie in the third when he buried a rebound from Lemieux's rush. Final 2-1 Preds.
Oct 21st Predators vs York Simcoe Express
Preds battled the Express at home mid week in Rama to challenge them for the second time this season. After the first period there was still no score. The second period brought all the action and the goals! The Express were the first to score but the Preds were determined to get a few of their own. Rawson buried a puck from the point grabbing helpers were Quarrington and Cudmore-Keating. Smith got the second with a nice pass from Collins. Quarrington got a one timer from Mountain and Collins got the fourth with help from Smith. Neither team were able to get a goal in the third. Unfortunately the boys were a couple short and final was 6-4 Express.
Oct 24th Predators vs Kingston
Preds came out on top in the match vs Kingston. Predators played a physical game and secured another win.
Cuff worked hard between the pipes and was rewarded with a shutout. Goals went to Dooley with helpers from Robertson and Collins. Smith with a helper from Collins. Lemieux got the third with help from Smith and Robertson.
Robertson got both the fourth unassisted and the fifth with helper from Dooley. Final 5-0 Preds.
Oct 25th Predators vs Markham
Short a couple players the Preds traveled to the Waxers home ice on Sunday afternoon. The Preds grabbed another win for the season. Augimeri got a shutout and the boys put three pucks in the net to get the 3-0 Final. Smith, Tomkinson and Neely all put the puck in the net to secure the win.
Nov 1st Predators vs Ajax Pickering Raiders
After a short break for halloween the boys were back on the road to travel to the Raiders barn late Sunday.
Tomkinson got the Preds on the board late in the first after putting a sweet pass from Smith in the net. The Raiders were quick to tie it up seconds later. Collins broke the tie in the second after getting a pass from Tomkinson and Smith. Quarrington got the third goal late in the second, fresh off the bench Lemieux sent him on a break away with a sweet stretch pass. Quarrington got his second of the game to make it 4-1 mid way through the third with helpers from Mountain and Davis. Final 4-1.
