NCP Bantam vs. Peterborough Petes
With 5 days off between games the Preds were hungry to
continue some strong play coming off of their thanksgiving layoff.
A sleepy start found the Preds down by a goal after the first period, the funk continued into the second period until Travis Sawyer picked up a loose puck behind the Pete's goal and found it a home in the back of the net. The goal pumped some life into the Preds legs and during an odd man advantage shortly thereafter Travis picked up some loose change on the Petes doorstep to give the Preds a 2-1 lead. With momentum on the side of the Preds Sawyer made a beautiful rush wide on the Petes defense to bury his natural hat trick top corner on the Petes goalie. Although the Preds were guilty of some sloppy play to this point they took a 3-1 lead to the break.
The Preds came out better in the third period, Kyle Kuznik who created a ton of chances throughout the game with his excellent play found Sawyer in the slot for his 4th goal of the game!
With Sawyer having a night to remember he tacked on one more for good measure to give the Preds a 5-2 victory!
