Montana's Minor Bantam Have a Solid January

Starting off the new year right was key for the Montana's Minor Bantam Predators.  The momentum created at the beginning of the season is needed to take us into the end of our regular season play.

Preds were in tight in game 2 of the back to back games vs the Barrie Colts where the Preds won the first game.  With the Barrie goaltender having a stellar showing, the Colts were able to pull out a 1-0 win over the Preds.

The Richmond Hill Coyotes were geared up to take on the Preds but we rolled into Elvis Stojko arena ready for the challenge.  This was a critical 2 points for the Preds as we are battling for 1st place with the Coyotes.  Preds came out victorious with a 5-2 score.

The Oshawa Generals were in Rama next to take on the Predators.  The game started off close enough but the Predators were able to turn it on and pull off a 6-3 victory.

The following day we headed up the highway to take on the York Simcoe Express.  The game was physical and close until the 3rd period.  Then with a few quick goals, the Preds opened it up and won 4-1.

With a large number of players sick and missing due to illness, the Preds travelled to take on the Clarington Toros.  Going into the 3rd period the Preds were down 2-0 and in true Preds form, they dug down deep and were able to come back in the first 15 seconds to score and getting the game within reach at 2-1.  Then with under 2 minutes left, we got another goal to tie up the game.  It was a win for the team considering how they fought through the illness and fatigue.

The very next day, still fighting illness, the York Simcoe Express headed to Rama for their last meeting of the season and were hoping for a win but the Preds weren't willing to give up their home rink advantage and won by a 5-1 margin.

The Preds have 5 regular season games remaining on our schedule and with the consistent play that the boys have been putting out, the Preds are hoping for a strong showing.
