Four Point Weekend
The Minor Bantam Predators returned to game action with a 3-0 loss to the Central Ontario Wolves on January 4, 2018.
Reflecting on this result, it was a determined Preds squad that took to the ice on January 6 and 7, getting back into the win column with two victories. On Saturday the team defeated Markham 2-1 in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. Thanks once again to family and friends who continue to support the team into the New Year! Dylan G. noted that the Preds came out hard, went hard to the net and made great passes.
Things to work on included battling against the boards and not standing still as well as helping to preserve the shutout for the goalies.
Building on this momentum, the Preds came out on top of Peterborough on Sunday, also at home. A summary of Sunday's game is provided by Brinn B, "The team used a strong fore check, taking time and space away from their opponents. The result was a 3-1 win and perhaps our best game of the year!"
The Minor Bantams will continue to work throughout the week on their individual skills and team play before hitting the road next weekend to take on Richmond Hill.
