Busy past weekend for the Minor Peewee team
This past weekend found The Elmvale Home Building Centre North Central Predators Minor Peewee team take 4 of a possible 6 points.
The weekend would start off at Home with the York-Simcoe Express coming to Rama to face our Preds. This would be the first of 4 meetings between the two teams this season. Both teams had chances in the first period however we would find ourselves tied at zero at the end of the first. YSE would open the scoring early in the second period. North Central would continue to battle hard and just could not find the back of the net to tie the game. York-Simcoe would find themselves on the scoresheet once again late in the 3rd period to take the 2-0 win.
The Oshawa Generals would find themselves driving up Highway 12 Saturday afternoon to come face our Predators in Rama. NCP hungry to get back into the win column would score the first goal of the game nearing the end of the first period. The home two team would score another 2 goals in the middle frame to take a commanding 3-0 lead going into the 3rd period. Oshawa would find the back of the net late in the 3rd period to cut the lead to 3-1. The game would come to an end with NCP taking the 3-1 win.
We would now find ourselves heading down to Richmond Hill to face the Coyotes in an early Sunday afternoon game. North Central would score the first goal of the game just past the opening minute of play. The first and second period would come and go with both teams trading opportunities and no one being successful at finding the back of the net. Richmond Hill would come out strong in the 3rd period and tie the game within the first minute of play of the period. Less than 5 minutes later the Predators would answer and regain the lead 2-1. The Predators would once again shut the door and walk away with the 2-1 win.
next weekend will find us on the road for 3 important road games vs division rivals in YSE, Markham & Ajax-Pickering.
