Vaughan Kings Classic Tournament
This past weekend the Elmvale Home Building Centre North Central Predators Minor Peewee team took part in the IV Annual Vaughan Kings Classic Tournament.
We would face an ETA Rival in the Whitby Wildcats Friday morning in game 1 of the round robin. The Preds would battle and came back to tie the game twice, however Whitby would eventually find the back of the net and take game 1 with a final score 3-2. We would face the host team in the Vaughan Kings (who would go on to win the tournament) in game two Friday afternoon. We cam out prepared to battle in this game and held our ground against the Kings. Vaughan would take the win 2-1.
Saturday morning would have us facing the Soo Jr. Greyhounds. North Central hungry for their first win of the tournament would battle hard in the game and would come out on top 3-0. We rounded out the round robin series with a match vs. the Seaway Valley Rapids. The final score would not be a true representation of the game with the Rapids taking the win 5-2. Both teams battle hard and Seaway Valley found a way to score on their opportunities.
We now prepare to battle a few division rivals this coming weekend in Barrie and Richmond Hill prior to the Christmas break.
