Major Atom at Barrie Colts Tournament
Submitted By Meghan Black on Monday, October 28, 2019
The Major Atom Predators were part of the Barrie Colts Tournament this past weekend.

After a coming off a great practice of focus and hard work, our boys came out very strong in game 1 against the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs. Scoring first, 30 seconds from puck drop. It was a great back and forth game and the boys came out on top with a 6-5 win.
Game 2, took us to Stroud, where the boys were up against the Niagara North Stars. The boys came away with a loss of 8-6, but we couldn't be more proud of the determination and focus they had during this game, the boys never gave up or got discouraged and fought hard back and forth until the last second, just unable to pick up a tie against this tough team.
With a very early start on Saturday morning the boys played the Ottawa Sting, Losing 4-1. The boys had some very good offensive chances but just couldn't bury any more goals.
Game 4, in Innisfil, against Upper Ottawa Valley Acres. The Preds came out strong and were determined not to let the morning jitters get the better of them. With another back and forth game, they battled hard and came away with a 5-4 win.
The boys just fell short of making the finals. Overall a great weekend for the team. Coming away with lessons learned and things to work on at this weeks practices. Working hard as we prepare for upcoming games and our tournament in Niagara on November 8-9-10.
