Big Weekend for Major Atom Team
The Elmvale Home Building Centre Major Atom AAA Predators come away from the weekend with two big wins.
We faced a hungry team on Saturday travelling to Lindsay to play the Central Ontario Wolves. Central Ontario was looking to put up a win and played a high tempo game. The Predators would match the level of intensity and would score the eventual game winner with less than 3 minutes to go in the 3rd period.
We would come home to face the Ajax-Pickering Raiders in Midland on Sunday afternoon. Ajax was looking to put up a first win on their season. North Central would capitalize on the power play opportunities and put away the visiting Raiders 5-1.
We now have a busy week with a couple games scheduled this week vs. divisional rivals in Barrie on Monday and vs. York-Simcoe Express on Thursday in Rama. We will look to bring the same level of intensity and effort that was had over the weekend.
