Concussion Management Presentation - August 22 @ Georgian College Orillia
Player safety is a top priority for our hockey organization. Our NCOHA has partnered with the Canadian Medical Research Group (CMRG) to offer our organization service in player safety- Concussion Management. On Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 pm at Georgian College in Orillia (Rm. C112) representatives from the CMRG will make a presentation to our families and coaching staffs associated with how to deal with concussions in an appropriate way.
This presentation will serve to do three things:
1) educate our coaches/trainers and parents about concussions.
2) explain how the Impact Baseline test helps with the Return to Play decision for an athlete who has sustained a concussion.
3) An overview of the Return to Play protocol for athletes who have sustained a concussion.
