Submitted By KCipolla on Fri 04 08, 22
North Central Ontario Hockey Association - U-18 Program for 2022-2023 SeasonWith a tremendous outpouring of interest in a U-18 program, the NCOHA has decided to enter a club in the always competitive Eastern Triple A League - E.T.A for the 2022-2023 season. Derek Williams and Rick de Bokx will co-coach the team.

Our U-18's will return a large portion of the NCP U-16 club from the 2021-2022 season, will have some current U-18's remain and coaches Williams and de Bokx are currently receiving numerous inquiries from interested players.NCOHA president Roger Crandell comments, " we are excited to see such interest in our U-18 program.

Derek and Rick have been working extremely hard selling our program to our local kids and they have already assembled the core of what should be a highly competitive team. We know that with the advent of the U-18 Supplemental OHL draft each year that players that need an extra year of development both physically and mentally - there is no better development path than the U-18 AAA program.

Our program offers 3 hours of on ice practice each week, dry land training through Sports Medicine and 36 highly competitive league games in the ETA along with multiple AAA tournaments and playoffs.

Our program is second to none." Co-coach Williams is extremely encouraged by the interest level he has seen in zone and knows that in August when tryouts begin and all OMHA players are eligible to attend that there will be additions made that will complement the core of his returning guys. "We're looking forward to building a team that will work hard and represent the NCOHA with class", stated Williams. All eligible players are welcomed to contact coaches Williams and de Bokx to discuss our U-18 program for the 2022-2023 season. Contact information is listed on our website under 'About Us and then Coaches'.
