Next season's NCP U-10 Head Coach Jeff Hopkins and Predator's VP of Hockey Operations Rich Foshay welcomes all parents of 2014 birth year players for an information session on Sunday March 5th at the Rama MASK. The presentation will begin at 12:15 pm followed by an opportunity to watch our current U-10 team play a playoff game against the Oshawa Generals at 1:00 pm....also at The MASK.
Our U-10 age group (2014 birth year for next season) is our Association's youngest entry in the very competitive E.T.A - Eastern Triple A (AAA) League. "Making the decision to move a young hockey player to the AAA level of play is a big one for parents," states Foshay. "Our goal in providing this session is to help parents make an informed decision by providing for them information about our Association and the commitment playing at the province's top level requires. Our agenda will include an overview of the ETA league and the time and financial commitment necessary to play AAA hockey with North Central. This session will also provide parents the opportunity to meet our recently selected head coach Jeff Hopkins and to hear from him his plan for the upcoming season."
"I am extremely excited to get our season started and it begins with this session," said head coach Hopkins. "I am encouraged by the interest I have already been receiving by prospective families in our area. Our NCP association represents minor hockey associations from as far north as Huntsville and Parry Sound, south to Oro and as far west as Wasaga Beach. Oro, Midland, Penetang, South Muskoka and Orillia all have produced wonderful hockey players through the years. This information session will allow parents to make an informed decision about the move to AAA hockey. I can't wait to get started!"
