U-11 Preds Advance to the OMHA Championship Weekend!
Congratulations to our
North Central Predators U-11 team, who have earned their way to the 2023 OMHA
Championships this weekend. Our team clinched their spot with a 4-0 win over
the Ajax-Pickering Raiders on March 19 – finishing their ETA playoff run with
an impressive 5-1 record.
“I am extremely proud of our team and what they have accomplished. They have put the work in all year and are being rewarded for it,” said head coach Tobias Whelan. Leading into the playoffs, Whelan said the team found the consistency they were looking for. “The players have bought into all of the things we have talked about throughout the year and have put it all together at the right time.”
The U11 AAA OMHA Championships will take place March 24-26 at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville. Our Preds will compete in round robin play on March 24 at 2:30 p.m. vs. the York Simcoe Express and on March 25 at 11:30 a.m. vs. the Niagara North Stars and at 4 p.m. vs. the Oakville Rangers. Semi-final and Championship games will take place on March 26. “It’s definitely going to be a big challenge this weekend but it is something the coaches and players are very excited for,” said Whelan.
