The North Central Predators (NCP) are happy to welcome Head Coach Stan Kondrotas to the U-16 club for the 2023-24
season. Kondrotas is making a return to minor hockey
after a number of years behind the bench in the Provincial
Junior Hockey League (PJHL).
Since
2015, Kondrotas has
held the roles of assistant coach for the Midland Flyers and head coach for
both the Caledon Golden Hawks and the Schomberg Cougars. He led the Golden
Hawks to back-to-back record breaking seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19 and in 2022
the Cougars were the PJHL Carruthers Division Finalists. His success has led to
recognition within the PJHL – being named PJHL Carruthers Division Coach of the
Year multiple times. Before making the jump to the Junior C level he coached
AAA for the Barrie Colts, including the 2015 Minor Bantam OMHA Champions.
For 40 years, Kondrotas has been a proud skating and hockey skills
instructor for many players, teams and organizations in the South Simcoe area. As
owner of PS101 Prospects, he hosts development camps for minor hockey players
and junior level hockey players throughout the year. He said, adding the U-16
Head Coach title to his resume, is something he looks forward to. “I
have always wanted to coach a draft year team,” he said. “My goal is to make every player, and
the team as whole, better from the first time we are on ice. The team will come
together. It will take time and patience.”
Everywhere Stan has coached, the team has shown great strides....our U-16 club is in for a very exciting year ahead!
