In the true spirit of Christmas and community, North Central Predators families have once again come together to support the 2ndAnnual “Fill Your Cart” food drive.
Our teams proudly donated food and toiletries, from eight overflowing grocery carts in the MASK lobby, to the Rama Food Bank this weekend. It’s a tradition the teams hope the organization continues for years to come.
“We are grateful to have a beautiful rink to play hockey in and call the home of the Predators. Rama First Nation has always taken care of us. This food drive is just a small way to say thank you to the community,” said head coach Mark McGrath.
Toni Williams, Food Bank Co-ordinator was pleased with the drive stating, "we are always happy to partner with families in our hockey community who play at the MASK. It shows that we care about one another."
McGrath said the importance of food drives and food banks was instilled in him by his family and he hopes to pass those community-centred values on to his team. “Having young players take part in collecting the food, hopefully will help them to develop stronger character traits that will serve them and their communities in the future.”
Thank you to all who donated and Happy Holidays!
