Head Coach Grant Barbesin To Lead NCP's U18 Program
The Executive of the North Central Predators are proud to announce that Grant Barbesin will lead our U18 club as head coach.
Barbesin is ecstatic to begin the work of assembling our team from our current Preds' U16 and U18 clubs along with athletes playing outside our association. Barbesin has coached in minor sports for over 15 years including 6 years coaching at the AAA level and helping win 2 silver medals at OMHAs. When asked what his plans are for the program, Barbesin responded, "as a student of the game, I intend to bring a team culture to the athletes, making sure each athlete is challenged on and off the ice to improve their overall game. It is my goal to help each player reach their full potential and get them ready for the next level of their hockey careers. I have been associated with the NCP program for the past two seasons and I have been thoroughly impressed with the culture of development and excellence I have seen. I can't wait to get started as head coach of our Association's oldest entry!!"
Grant will be implementing a complete hockey program for his club with the support of our Association's incredible relationship with Sports Medicine and Mr. Tony Scott, former Toronto Maple Leaf registered therapist and head trainer.
Grant continued, " I believe in the ability to teach and motivate these players in a fun and safe environment where the players aren’t afraid to be themselves, have fun with the game of hockey and further develop to support our young men to get ready for their next level of hockey."
The North Central Predators are ecstatic to welcome Grant to our head coaching ranks.
