NCP Hosting Player/Parent "Next Steps" Seminar
The North Central Ontario Hockey Association is hosting an information session for our U15, U16 and U18 players and their families on Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 pm at the Rama MASK. Director of Player and Coach Development, Rick Schaly, has assembled an incredible group of presenters that have an enormous amount of experience in the hockey world. Schaly comments, "our goal for the evening is to have our players and their parents hear from hockey people about what comes next after a minor hockey career is over. We want to educate our players around their options and possibilities early so that they have lots of time to evaluate their next steps. We believe this evening will give our kids and their parents some incredible perspectives from an outstanding lineup of speakers!"
NCP Vice President Rich Foshay comments, "our speakers will offer to our kids a wide range of perspectives from head coach, scout, player agent and league administration. Rick has put together an incredible group that will help our families see what's in store for them in the next few years."
The evening's speakers are as follows:
Head Coach Dylon Smoskowitz - OHL Barrie Colts (youngest HC in OHL)
OHL Scout Joe Beleskey - Northern Scout Oshawa Generals
Player Representative Scott Oswin - Oswin Sports Group (Player Agency whose mission is to place their athletes with the most appropriate teams and schools.)
Director Stefano Durante - Director of Hockey Operations and Recruitment at the Ontario Junior Hockey League "OJHL"
As an organization, NCP strives to present our players with cutting edge development opportunities. We look forward to this Wednesday evening at the MASK!
