The Kelsey's Orillia North Central Minor Midget Predators
travelled to Clarington on Sunday Nov 15th to face-off against the
OMHA Champion Clarington Toros.

The North Central Predators were looking to avenge an earlier season loss to the Toros and started the first period with some aggressive forechecking .
Five minutes into the period some sustained pressure in the Toros zone ended with the puck crossing the redline behind the Clarington netminder giving the Predators a 1 goal edge.
Later in the period the Predators would put another puck in the Toros net but this one didn’t count, ending the period with the score still 1-0 for North Central.
Early in the second period the Toros potent powerplay struck for a goal and tied the game at 1-1.
Not to be outdone,
just moments later, North Central took their one goal lead back with a powerplay marker of their own.
With time winding down in the second the Predators doubled their lead when a Predators’ player fired a shot past the Clarington netminder. The teams would go to 2
nd intermission with the Predators leading the Toros by 3-1.
The third period was an intense battle that had the Predators battling hard to keep the Toros at bay. Five minutes into the period North Central found some penalty trouble and 6 seconds into the powerplay the Toros made the score 3-2.
Some strong defensive play and some big saves late in the game by North Central kept the Toros off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game. The Predators skated off
with the 3-2 victory and improved their league record to 9 wins 5 losses and 1 tie.
The Kelseys’ Orillia North Central Minor Midget Predators will be looking to extend their winning streak when they travel to Richmond Hill on Wed Nov 18
th to take on the
Richmond Hill Coyotes.
