Twas The weekend before Christmas when the Preds faced COW
Not a goal was to be let in no way and no how.
The players were eager for what might await
All they had to do was shoot score and skate.
The goalies were all ready to protect each of their cages.
The coaches went through game plans flipping through pages.
The Wolves were the team in the visitors end
The Preds in the other looking to defend.
When the puck dropped both teams began play
The Preds wanted the victory more on this day.
Up and down the ice the players did dash
And on occasion the nets they did crash.
A loud yell could be heard from behind the Preds crew
A yell that could only come from Coach Andrew
More rapid than rabbits they entered the game
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name!
On Dudas, On Berriault, On Priaulx,and Stevens.
We cant let this game end will the score all even.
Go Smith Go Balkwill, Graham and Emon,
Go Skate hard, Go Skate like a demon.
The Preds were the first of the teams to score.
Not satisfied with one they wanted some more
scoring 5 the home team skated to the win
Scoring enough to make even Coach Andrew grin.
The victory for the Preds was number 7 in a row.
and off to Aurora to face YSE they would go.
A victory there would extend their win streak to eight
But against YSE a single point would be great.
