Drew Doughty Tournament
The Second Century Source for Sports Minor Atom AAA Predators travelled to London for their first tournament of the year. The team played four games over the weekend and really battled hard every game the effort shown by these young boys was exciting to watch.

Game one had the team up against the hosts from London and with a lot of hard work we managed to have the lead 1-0 after the first period of play. Second Period saw London score two quick goals but our boys battled back to tie it up. London would add a 3rd goal late the second to take a 3-2 lead and another late in the third to clinch the game for them with a final score of  4-2.

Game two pitted us against the Kingston Frontenacs, and our team picked up right where we left off in the first game of the tournament with great goaltending  and hard work by all our players we were able to come out on top for our first win of the season 3-2.

Game three was a game we all wanted to play after getting beat pretty handily in our first regular season game against the Whitby Wildcats our boys were eager to prove they could compete with them, needing a win to give us a shot at the playoffs the boys game out strong and we took a 1-0 after the first period. After a back and forth second period, the Wildcats would tie it up in the third.  Lots of great scoring chances but both goalies were on top there game and no more pucks would get by either of them, the boys did what they set out to do and came away with a tie for there efforts.

Game four our final game of the tournament had the Predators taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins after a slow start that seen the team down 3-0 early but they showed great resilience and battle in coming back to make the game close but eventually would fall just short losing the game 4-3.

It was a great weekend and the kids really bonded, the boys are looking forward to carrying the momentum from the tournament into there regular season games.
