NCP grad Mitchell Weeks commits to the Sudbury Wolves

2017/2018 NCP Major Midget alumnus goalie Mitchell Weeks committed to the Sudbury Wolves this week. Mitchell was selected first overall in last year's OHL Under-18 Priority Selection draft. The 6’3, 175lb NCP grad is currently playing for the Newmarket Hurricanes. “I am extremely honoured to have signed with the Sudbury Wolves,” said Weeks. “I am also very excited for this opportunity with such a great organization.”

Team Finishes with a 2-2 Record at the Big Nickel Tournament

The team opened the tournament with a tough 3-0 loss to the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves and a 6-1 loss to the Sudbury Minor Wolves. On Friday night the team rebounded with a hard fought 1-0 win over the highly ranked Mississauga Rebels. Ben Hofstetter scored the Pred's goal and Kieran Carter-Crawford earned the shut out. The Preds finished the tournament with a 2-1 win over the New Liskeard Cubs. Scoring for the Preds were Noah Mountain and Gunner Penrose.
