Predators Win vs Petes in Round 2
Submitted By quevm on Friday, March 11, 2016
The Montana's Orillia PeeWee Predators won their second round vs the Peterborough Petes in a 3 game sweep!!

After a bit of scheduling controversy and hot off of their win vs Richmond Hill, the Preds travelled to Peterborough on Friday night for game 1 to win the game 7-1.  The boys were flying and our opponent didn't seem to be expecting our speed or will to win.

Game 2 was back at home on Sunday in Rama.  With a much closer game with Peterborough having scored first but it was 2-1 for the Predators until the final few minutes where an additional goal secured the Preds a 3-1 win.

Game 3 back to that long drive to Peterborough.   A win would clinch the series and a spot at the OMHA Championships.  The Preds started off strong and dominated the first period and were leading 2-0 early.  A bit of a change in momentum when the Petes came back to tie it up at 2 all.  After the 2nd period flood, the Preds came out hungry for the win.  After a few minutes they knocked one in to make it 3-2 and then another quick goal to make it 4-2. With only minutes left and their series on the line, Petes pulled their goalie doing everything they can to get back into this game.  However the Preds were on fire and knocked in another 3 goals to end it 7-2!!

The boys showed great discipline and control in this series and we are very much looking forward to keeping our streak going at the OMHA championships next weekend!!
