The Kelsey’s Minor Midget
Predators have spent the bulk of the month on the road. From the OHL Battle of the Border in Windsor,
the International Silver Stick Finals in Whitby to the ETA Showcase in Aurora.
The Preds had the honored to of being invited to the International Silver Stick Finals. At the tournament, the Preds were in a pool with some tough competition. Even with this, they had high-hopes and went in playing hard posting back to back shutouts in pool play. As the competition got harder the Preds ran out of time in both cases and were not quite able to come back in their final 2 games posting a record of 2-2 and did not make the Quarter Finals.
No rest for the team as they went right back to work preparing for the ETA showcase, which happened very next weekend. In this showcase all the ETA teams converge on one center and play all the game there showcasing the league for scouts and coaches. The Preds were set to play Central Ontario Wolves on Saturday and York Simcoe Express on Sunday. They were able to beat COW and tied the Express, 3 out of 4 pts is a good weekend.
They continue their busy Schedule by playing a mid-week away game before finally playing at home against Clarington on the weekend.
