NCP Bantam vs. Markham Waxers
The Bantam Preds travelled to Markham November 2nd
to take on the Waxers
On a tough Monday road trip the Preds set out to battle the Markham Waxers. Despite this being the Preds 3rd game in 4 nights the boys seemed to have their legs and came out of the gates playing a physical game. Despite their dominant play they managed to fall behind 1-0 when a Waxer forward split the D late in the first period and found the back of the cage. There was no scoring in the second but the boys played strong in both ends and came out determined for the third period. A goal from Brendan Firlotte tied the game at 1-1 midway through the third and seemed to tilt the ice in the Preds favour. Ben Schryer took advantage of a Waxer penalty with a beautiful shot that beat the Waxers goalie top shelf to give the Preds the lead, they never looked back coming up with a big 2-1 road win.
