NCP Bantam vs. Barrie Colts
The Bantam Preds travelled to Barrie on November 5nd
to take on the Colts
The Predators travelled a short distance up the highway to take on their rivals the Barrie Colts on Thursday night. Coming off of their win in Markham on Monday they felt they were playing well enough to add another road victory, the game was fast and physical from the get go. The Preds came out very strong and outplayed Barrie for most of the first period. Call up Brad Brown scored a breakaway beauty to give the Preds a well-earned 1-0 lead. Barrie came on strong though and managed to tie the game in the second. The comeback Preds felt they had Barrie right where they wanted them. Great play in net from Brandon Small stopped some good chances by Barrie in the early third to keep it a 1-1 game until Barrie finally potted 1 to make it 2-1 which is where it stayed until late in third when Kyle Kuznik converted a beautiful pass from Will Redick to tie the game at 2's. The Preds wanted more and buzzed the Colts net for remainder of the game but couldn't get the go ahead goal and had to settle for the 2-2 tie. Preds have played some strong hockey since the thanksgiving break and look to continue this into the weekend with 2 tough opponents coming to town Ajax/Pickering and Quinte this Saturday and Sunday.
