Toronto Red Wings Early Bird Tournament
The McLean and Dickey Major Bantam Predators officially kicked off their season at the Toronto Red Wings Early Bird Tournament.
The Predators were looking to get off to a solid start for the season and finished with a 2-2 record for the weekend narrowly missing the quarter final round.

Friday evening the Predators took on an ETA rival in the Oshawa Generals. Once again, the boys were able to post a high scoring game winning 8-0.
Saturday would bring much tougher games for the Preds. First meeting the Toronto Jr Canadiens who have iced a very solid team. The Preds were down 4-1 after a slow start and fought back. The boys still came up a little short however losing 4-3.
The Predators were needing a win to move on and Detroit Compuware was going to provide a good battle as well. Detroit has had a new contingent of players joint their roster and they were ready to play their system. It was a back and forth game until late in the 3rd period where penalties caught up to us to allow them to score a couple go ahead goals. The Preds lost 6-3. Detroit moved on to win the Consolation pool.
