OMHA BOUND!!!
The Mclean & Dickey Insurance Major Bantam Predators cruised through two rounds of playoffs to qualify for the OMHA championship tournament to be held the weekend of March 23rd.

The Preds regular season ended with them clinching First Place in the west with a few games remaining, this allowed them to go into the playoffs fully prepared and rested.  With a final regular season record of 22-10-2 and a league leading 150 Goals For and respectable 94 Goals Against, they were primed and ready to hit the ice for the most important time of the year…the playoffs.

The playoffs started with the Preds facing the Ajax-Pickering Raiders in the first round.  They made quick work of them in 4 games and had another few days off while they waited the second round schedule to be released and an opponent to be named.  The second round of the playoffs involves a crossover with the East Division and waiting there was the Quinte Red Devils.  The Red Devils, a high ranked team, proved to be difficult team to play against but in the end the Preds swept them in 3 straight games to earn a spot in the OMHA championship tournament, which is being held in Guelph this year.

The road to the OMHA championships is long, it involves a 34 game regular season schedule then 2 playoff rounds.  The Major Bantam Predators know this journey well, having made it to the championship weekend in 2 of the last 3 seasons.
