He Shoots ... He Scores
Submitted By ScottL on Mon 01 12, 15
So far this month the Predator Peewees have been on a tear, battling back in games and finding their scoring touch.  In the first 4 games in 2015 the team has scored 22 goals with 2 wins and tie and loss.

First game of the New Year was against York Simcoe.  This game had the Preds down 3-0 after the first and looking a little shaky, but the team fought back with 3 of their own in the second by Collins, Dooley and Robertson to tie it up.  The third period was a draw as well with the Kylar Watson batting one out of the air for the team to take the lead but YSE got one of their own after they pulled their goalie late in the game.  Final 4-4.

Game #2 was a mid-week game against the Barrie Colts, again the guys fell behind in the first but came back hard to make this one a very good game with a tight finish.  We started our scoring with Taylor Rehling shooting from the point where Collins picked up the loose puck tucking it behind the Barrie goalie.  Second goal had Smitty leaving a beauty drop pass to a trailing Collins who made no mistake on his wrist shot.  We tallied 2 more with goals by Robertson and Davis assists by Mountain and Smith.  Still leaving the guys a little short losing this close one 5-4.

Game #3 saw the team travelling to Lindsay to face the Central Ontario Wolves where we fell behind in the first again.  Once the guys regrouped they then started finding the back of the net.  First 2 goals were as a result of long passes from the defensive zone, first Lemieux to Graham and Quarrington pops it in, second was Quarrington to Watson and Collins finds the net.  The team would end up with 4 mores goals:
Quarrington from Davis
Collins from Smitty and Leis
Collins banks one off the goalie for the hat trick
Watty from Campbell and Smith
Final Score 6-2.

Game #4 was our 3rd meeting with the Richmond Hill Coyotes.  You guessed it, we fell behind 1-0 in the first period but as has been the norm of late, the boys battled back in commanding fashion winning this one 8-3.
First goal - nice puck movement from Smith to Davis to Collins
Second goal - Collins has the shot then Mountain picks up the rebound and lifts it overs the goalies head
Third goal - scrambling in front of the net our AP for the game Gabe Neely buries his first
Fourth goal - Graham had a great rush down the ice and was hauled down by the defense Mountain finds the puck and scores for his 2nd of the game
The guys would tally 4 more goals, 2 by Ryan Smith, 1 from Ethan Graham and Noah Mountain would complete the hat trick by scoring from behind the goalline and banking it off the goalie.
