Congratulations to the McLean & Dickey Major PeeWee Team for winning the Jr. Sabres Invitational Tournament this weekend.

The Major PeeWee Team displayed great team work and determination over the weekend on their way to winning the Jr. Sabres Invitational Tournament. In the first game on Friday afternoon, the team lost 2-1 to the host Buffalo Jr. Sabres team. This lit a fuse in the boys, as they went on to defeat the Cleveland Barons on Saturday morning by a score of 3-0 and then the Connecticut Condors 8-2 on Saturday night. This put the team into the Semi-finals on Sunday morning, against Victory Honda. The boys capitalized on some early chances and fought off some injuries and penalty problems, to come away with a 3-0 victory and make the way to the Championship game. In the Championship Sunday at noon, the team played the Buffalo Regals of the SCTA. It was a close checking affair early, but again the players dug deep, and scored some timely goals. At the end, the team skated away with a 6-0 victory and the Championship.
Thank you to all the families for their support throughout the weekend. It was a great TEAM atmosphere being this far away from home.
